Young romantasy fans will soon have more than just books to immerse themselves in. IMG Licensing has secured a multiyear global deal to represent all categories of consumer products for bestselling author Sarah J. Maas.
Under this exclusive worldwide agreement, IMG will bring Maas’s beloved Bloomsbury-published fantasy series into a wide array of merchandise, including toys, games, collectibles, apparel, beauty products, home décor, food and beverages, lifestyle goods, cosplay, and immersive fan experiences.
One of 2024’s top-selling authors, Maas is widely credited with helping to define and popularize the fast-growing “romantasy” genre—romantic tales set in richly imagined fantasy worlds. Her books have sold over 70 million copies worldwide in English.
Maas’s stories often follow strong teen heroines navigating love, danger, and magic. Her breakout hit A Court of Thorns and Roses features a 19-year-old huntress drawn into a perilous romance in the enchanted land of Prythian. Her debut novel Throne of Glass (2012), about a teen assassin in a corrupt kingdom, earned a nomination for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in the teen category.
