Three years ago, netizens competed to share four photos of a black baby with an impressive bright smile. Possessing glossy black skin, but just having seen a baby, everyone must be excited because of her plump body, healthy beauty, and especially her bright smile. Some even said that this is the “most beautiful black baby” ever known.
After seeing the baby’s photos, netizens are extremely curious about what kind of skin her mother has.
According to research, this once-fever baby is the first son of a young mother from Australia named Joha Kanyamupenza. Ever since the baby was born, Joha has regularly posted photos of her son on social networks such as Twitter and Instagram. She also did not expect that the baby’s photos would cause such a fever. And along with that, there are many whispers, gossip, and mockery about the baby’s skin.
In response to the mixed reactions of netizens, mother Joha once wrote: “My dear son! I hope you never have to care about people who laugh at you because of the color of your skin. This world. Not for anyone, your happiness can be lost at any time but I promise that I will always make your life happy.”
Not disclosing his son’s real name, but Joha once said that the baby’s middle name is Rufaro (in Shona – a language of the Shona people in Zimbabwe), this word means “happiness”: “My grandmother gave it to me, gave me the name ‘Kanyamupenza,’ a name in Kirundi that means happy, and growing up I felt very happy despite all the troubles I went through. So I want my son to be also called happy when someone mentions it. I gave her the middle name Rufaro (in Shona for happy). I believe that, somehow, each person’s name symbolizes or identifies a part of them. Therefore, I hope no matter who you become, what kind of person you become, you will always live happily with who you are.”
Despite receiving a lot of ridicule and mockery about her skin, mothers always teach their children to love the person that nature has given them and be proud of it.
Joha shared her pride in her daughter and herself for their unique dark skin. She finds joy in seeing her children smile and often posts childhood photos of her and her daughter. Through these photos, it’s clear to see that her son has inherited their distinctive skin tone. Despite any negative comments about their appearance, Joha exudes confidence and freshness in the company of her son, whether at home, out and about, or at the beach.
Currently, the above “happy black boy” is 3 years old and starting to go to school. The boy is taller and more mature, but always retains a bright smile and an impressive skin that is easy to recognize. Revealing more about her boy at the moment, the mother from Australia said that the boy was very excited and wanted to go to school, so she enrolled him in kindergarten. The boy always shows joy and pleasure when he sees his friends around him and plays with them.
